Dyson has launched the high capacity V11 Outsize cord-free vacuum, a bigger cleaner for bigger homes.
The new model is essentially a super-sized Dyson V11 Absolute, re-engineered to include a 150 per cent larger bin, 25 per cent bigger cleaner head, and up to 60 minutes of runtime.
Its stablemate, the V11 Absolute impressed us on test, but this new variant boasts 20 per cent more suction thanks to a powerful Dyson Hyperdymium motor and 18 Dyson cyclones which generate forces of more than 79,000g, able to consign microscopic particles, including pollen, dust and bacteria, into the bin. A fully-sealed filtration system traps 99.97 per cent of particles as small as 0.3 microns.
The Dyson Hyperdymium motor spins at 125,000rpm, and has a triple diffuser to optimise the balance of power and performance while reducing turbulence and noise.
The new model also has a larger cleaner-head, 32cm wide. The practical benefit is that the vacuum is able to cover more surface area with each pass.
Arguably the biggest benefit though is the larger capacity bin. Now at 1.9 litres, this means you won’t have to constantly stop vacuuming to empty the bin…
The new model is essentially a super-sized Dyson V11 Absolute
As seen on the Absolute model, the cleaner uses Dyson’s Dynamic Load Sensor (DLS) system, with High Torque cleaner head. This intelligently detects brush bar resistance and automatically communicates with the motor and batteries’ microprocessors to change the suction power between floor types.
The High Torque cleaner head features stiff nylon bristles that drive deep into carpets to remove ground-in dirt, and anti-static carbon fibre filaments that capture dust from hard floors and crevices.
The Outsize also has a graphic LCD screen which shows current performance, including selected power mode and remaining runtime. The screen also reminds when to clean filters for optimum performance, and explains how to clean blockages.
Arguably the biggest benefit though is the larger capacity bin. Now at 1.9 litres, this means you won’t have to constantly stop vacuuming to empty the bin.
The Dyson V11 Outsize, available in Nickel/Red, is priced at £700.
