The Wooden Furniture Store has launched three handmade furniture ranges crafted from reclaimed, salvaged and recycled wood, some of which is upwards of 150 years old.
Rich in character, its artisan Urban Chic and Coastal Chic pieces use wood sourced from Southern India, and aged between 50 – 150 years old. This ensures every item is truly unique. Its urban Elegance line uses reclaimed sawn wood for a downsized warehouse vibe. The good news is there’s a wide variety of furniture in each range to choose from.

Urban Chic 2 Door Small Sideboard £297, TV Cabinet £351, 4 Door 4 Drawer Coffee Table £404. Far right: Urban Chic Large Open Bookcase £497, Low Lamp Table £119
The three collections create a whole new ambiance for those working from home, and juxtapose beautifully with cutting edge home entertainment. From dining tables, TV cabinets, bookshelves and sideboards, to computer desks, workstations and shoe storage, these collections ooze history and heritage, and bring contemporary practicality to modern and traditional interiors.
The Urban Chic range showcase the grain detailing, colourful contrasting tones, knots and distressed markings of a previous life. The wood has been given a satin varnish to emphasise its colour and unique appearance, making these a statement addition to any design led home.
Urban Chic Large Open Bookcase £497, Desk / Dressing Table £403, Chair £229 (pack of two). Right: Alcove Bookcase £345
The Urban Elegance line of slimline solid wood furniture takes inspiration from warehouse style, and combines reclaimed earthy rough sawn wood with a dark powder coated steel frame, to create a cool industrial feel.
Every piece in the range is handcrafted to highlight its imperfections. A resilient satin varnish then ensures that it remains hard wearing. The matt powder coated steel frames that feature throughout this collection underline its industrial aesthetic.

Finally, the Coastal Chic range comprises upcycled furniture handmade from carefully recycled and reclaimed materials. The result is colourful and unique furniture, with a port town sensibility, again finished with a hard wearing satin lacquer.
