Transparent adds matte black edition to its see-through Bluetooth speaker line

Stockholm-based audio brand Transparent has introduced a Matte Black edition Small and Transparent Speaker. It’s also given them a performance tweak.

The Transparent speaker is a marriage of minimalist design and advanced audio electronics. Offering an alternative to traditional sound system design, the pair utilise a single aluminium uniframe with tempered glass panels and components. 

The Transparent speaker’s original red cables have been updated to black.

The Small Speaker has a 2x15W output, while the Transparent Speaker has boasts ing a 140W output,

Transparent’s Small and Large offerings

Transparent has also refined the speakers DSP (Digital Signal Processor) to enhance performance. The new collection also features True Wireless pairing, allowing customers to stream music through two speakers simultaneously. 

And the speakers are relatively future-proofed too. Thanks to their modular design, new components and systems can be added as wireless technology improves.

The speaker supports AirPlay, Amazon Alexa, and Google Cast.  The larger model has two 76mm full range drivers and one 165mm woofer.  Physical connections include a 3.5mm input and USB.

The Small Transparent Speaker sells for £450, the  larger Transparent is priced at £900.  They’re available now from the brand’s online outlet, as well as Mr Porter, The Conran Shop and Turntable  Lab.
