Star of the series, Seema Malhotra, is a fashion mogul as well as a TV star. The business woman runs the hugely popular clothing company Forever Unique, which can be seen on the glamorous cast of The Real Housewives of Cheshire in the show’s new series, and is loved by the likes of Miley Cyrus and Holly Willoughby, as well as even being the glam choice of royalty, having been worn by the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton.

The boardroom director works hard, and takes her precious vacay time just as seriously. “A beach resort or healthy retreat is our go-to holiday destination,” Seema tells The Luxe Review, “My husband and I work so hard, so we just want to go somewhere we can take the time to relax, enjoy good food and experience good service.”

And Seema knows all about relaxing, good food, and good service. Get ready for some armchair escapism: from Greece, to the UAE via the Indian Ocean, here are the star’s ultimate holiday destinations for post-lockdown travel inspiration…

Sandy Lane Hotel, Barbados

“When I got married 27 years ago, my husband, Sandeep, saved a lot of money to book our honeymoon at the Sandy Lane Hotel in Barbados. I was only 22 at the time, and this was our first luxury holiday together. It was the most luxurious experience I’ve ever had on a holiday. The hotel was sophisticated in its décor and the service was outstanding. We had dinners on the beach, watched the sunset, and experienced spa treatments. It was definitely a romantic trip to remember.”

Pan Dei Palais, St Tropez

The Pan Dei Palais is one of my favourite hotels. It’s a hidden gem in the heart of St Tropez. We normally spend the August bank holiday in the South of France, and this hotel is one of my favourite places to stay: It’s a small boutique hotel with so much style and character, and it fuses both Indian and Parisian design.”

“It’s the perfect spot to relax during the day when you want to switch off from the hectic parties…”

“The courtyard is beautifully decorated with stylish Indian parasols surrounding the swimming pool, and it is the perfect spot to relax during the day when you want to switch off from the hectic parties. It’s also located on a quiet street with small boutique stores on… and it’s a 5-minute walk to the harbour where you can see all the super yachts!”

Jumeirah Al Naseem hotel, Dubai

“My all-time favourite holiday destination would have to be Dubai. We have been travelling there for the past twenty years. It is like our second home – in fact, we are potentially looking to move out there in the future!”

“The staff can’t do enough for you, the rooms, pool and beach were fabulous!”

“We normally stay at one of the Jumeirah resorts along the beach: You are guaranteed excellent service there. I was super impressed with the new Jumeirah Al Naseem hotel. The location is great, and you gain easy access to all the other Jumeirah Hotels and restaurants by staying there, too. The staff can’t do enough for you, the rooms, pool and beach were fabulous.”

Kokotos Estate, Athens

“This was the last trip I went on – I went on a city break the week before lockdown to Athens, Greece. We actually went whilst filming The Real Housewives of Cheshire and we attended the opening of Forever Unique’s new showroom in Athens.”

“We also immersed ourselves in the Greek culture, where we smashed plates during dinner!”

“Athens is a great city. It’s full of culture – from the amazing buildings, to the food and drink. We checked out the famous monuments such as the Acropolis, which is located on a rocky outcrop, and experienced great views of the city.”

“The girls and I checked out a vineyard called the Kokotos Estate. You can make – and taste! – the most beautiful wines from Chardonnay, to Sauvignon to Merlot. I seriously recommend you check out this place! We also immersed ourselves into the Greek culture, where we smashed plates during dinner, which was fun!”

Shangri-La’s Le Touessrok resort & spa, Mauritius

“The place I’m dreaming of booking a trip to post-lockdown is Mauritius. We went there a few years ago and during the trip we made some amazing friends at the resort, who we are still in contact with to this day.”

“We got involved in so many sporting activities at the hotel, too, from cliff diving, to yoga, water skiing, to playing volleyball on the beach. I actually think I lost weight during this trip as the whole family were so active! After being housebound during this time of lockdown, it would be great to go back there and experience all those activities again, as well as to spend time with friends.”
