The 15 best Comic-Con@home 2020 TV and movie panels you really won’t want to miss

Even the combined might of the Avengers and Justice League couldn’t prevent the cancellation of Comic-Con this year, the world’s biggest pop culture event. Founded in the Seventies, the San Diego convention now attracts around 130,000 visitors and has evolved into a global fulcrum for movie and TV studios, comic publishers and related creatives.

But while San Diego may be con-less, the event itself has gone virtual, its numerous panels and events migrated online, and the good news is they’re free to watch, and the line-up is stellar.

For Hollywood Studios, Comic-Con sits somewhere between Cannes and E3, acting as a global promotional platform for genre entertainment.

Interestingly, this year the event has limited participation from DC, which is concentrating on its own online event, DC FanDome which takes place August 22, and Marvel Studios.

The latter has a number of high-profile projects which would have seemed naturals for event, including theatrical releases Eternals and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, as well as upcoming  Disney+ shows WandaVision and  Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

Even so, what we’re left with is a geeky cornucopia of online events, many of which will be hosted on YouTube, although other platforms will be involved. Read on for our guide to the best movie and TV panels you’ll be able to stream over the course of the event, which runs July 22 – 26.
