Animated blockbuster Frozen II will debut on Disney+ in the UK and Ireland July 2, two weeks earlier than expected.
The sequel reunites award-winning directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, producer Peter Del Vecho, and songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez.
Voice talents Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad also all return. The movie will be partnered by a new Disney+ Original documentary series, Into the Unknown: Making Frozen II, which debuts on the streaming service June 26.
This six-part series takes viewers behind the scenes with the filmmakers, artists, songwriters and cast, as they set about working on the highly anticipated sequel.
Disney cameras documented the entire process, promising a unique insight into the creative process at the world’s most famous animation studio. The movie was to go on to gross a staggering $1.45 billion worldwide.
Frozen II joins the original Frozen on the platform, alongside Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, Frozen Fever and Lego’s Disney Frozen – Northern Lights. It sounds like it’s going to be a long, cold summer ahead.
