At the annual World Whisky Awards, a budget supermarket whisky has been named as one of the best in the world. Judges named Aldi’s Highland Black Scotch Whisky, which retails for a modest £12.99, as one of the best in the Scotch Blended 12 & Under Category. The popular supermarket also added a Gold medal for its Glen Marnoch Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, priced at £17.49.
This actually marks the seventeenth win for Highland Black at drinks competitions over the last five years.
