Good news tequila fans! One of London’s most decadent five-star boutique hotels, The Mandrake, is turning National Margarita Day (February 22nd, but you knew that already, right marg lovers?) into a month-long celebration of tequila, tacos, and high-end mixology.
Partnering with Patrón Tequila, the luxury hotel’s YOPO Mezcal & Taco Bar is launching ‘Margarita Month’, running from 22nd February to 22nd March 2025, offering three limited-edition margaritas with curated taco pairings. Now, this sounds like our kind of food pairing menu.
For those who take their cocktails seriously, the menu features tasty twists on the classic margarita, each crafted with an extra luxe touch. The special margaritas on offer are:
The Himalaya – A delicate yet complex mix of vanilla-infused Patrón Silver, bergamot juice, and homemade rose syrup (£18), served alongside a Sweet Potato Tostada with salsa macha and goat’s cheese (£6).
The Sea of Light – Cardamom-infused Patrón Reposado, house-made orange liqueur, clarified orange juice, and an agave-kissed sour mix (£18), paired with a Grilled Octopus Taco featuring pickled courgette and mustard miso (£8).
The Morita – A bold concoction of Patrón Silver, ancho chile liqueur, lime juice, guava purée, and chipotle agave (£18), matched with a Pork Belly Taco, pickled pepper, and tomatillo salsa (£7).
The celebrations don’t stop there – the bar is also offering free tacos this month, too.
Beyond the meticulously crafted cocktails, guests can enjoy a complimentary taco every Thursday with their Margarita Month order, making this a must-visit spot for tequila lovers and foodies.
The exclusive menu will be available Wednesday to Saturday, 6pm–11pm – we’ll see you there.
