Damien Hirst meets dream dram: Glenfiddich offers premium whisky buyers personalised art rental experience

Glenfiddich Whisky and art gallery

Celebrated single malt whisky maker Glenfiddich has teamed up with curated art platform Rise Art to unveil The Art of Glenfiddich. This novel initiative, which unites the worlds of premium whisky with contemporary art, offers enthusiasts the opportunity to experience works of art as they sip their drams at home.

Exclusively available via The Whisky Exchange, this collaboration pairs Glenfiddich’s more luxurious expressions with works from acclaimed artists like Damien Hirst, Pure Evil, and rising talents such as Lucy Cade and Fuschia.

Rise Art has a mission to make art more accessible, by offering a subscription service for renting curated works by emerging artists. Rise Art’s purpose is to bring the gallery experience into personal spaces, to inspire new generations of art lovers.

Glenfiddich has long been a pioneer in the luxury whisky space, crafting collections like the Time Re:Imagined and Grand Series. This latest venture builds on past creative collaborations with global artists such as André Saraiva and Fantasista Utamaro.

Exclusive whisky and art collaboration, from £180

The collaboration, unveiled at a London Gallery, was partnered with tastings of Glenfiddich’s 30 Year Old Suspended Time expression, and its 23 Year Old Grand Cru, from the Grand Series. Both whiskies are included in the promotion.

The art rental experience is tiered. Premium, available from £38,700, offers a white-glove collection and installation service, a personalised art advisory session, exclusive behind-the-scenes experiences, and a three-month subscription to a personal curator.

The Base tier, starting at £180, unlocks a one-month art rental from an emerging artist, including delivery and collection services.

As Scott Phillips, Co-founder of Rise Art, explains: “Art has this incredible ability to shift our perspective, allowing us to see the world through someone else’s eyes. With these pieces on the wall, people can sit, drink, and reflect deeply on the artist’s practice. It’s about sparking imagination and challenging how we perceive the world around us.”

Whisky lovers and art aficionados can pair liquid and canvas exclusively through The Whisky Exchange, from December 5, to February 28 2025, with only 368 rentals available.
