Lauded single malt whisky maker Glenfiddich has announced an exclusive multi-year global partnership with the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team, and unveiled an exclusive expression sourced from a rare 1959 cask, to celebrate.
Glenfiddich 1959 is a one-of-a-kind bottling that pays tribute to the marque’s Formula 1 debut in 1959 and its Le Mans victory that same year.

Crafted from a single sherry butt, the whisky boasts a deep mahogany hue and intense flavour profile, reflecting decades of careful stewardship in Glenfiddich’s warehouses.
Bottled at 46% ABV, we’re told it offers a nose of oak, aged leather, and beeswax, underpinned by the earthy aroma of dunnage warehouse floors. On the palate, there’s talk of spice, cloves, dates, and walnuts, atop Christmas pudding and dark chocolate. The finish is said to be long, dry, and tannic.
“This limited-edition bottling represents a pivotal moment in history,” says Glenfiddich Malt Master Brian Kinsman.
“By delving deep into our archives, we unearthed a rare and exceptional expression from 1959 to honour this milestone. It embodies the shared spirit of innovation and excellence that defines both Glenfiddich and Aston Martin.”
There’s no release date yet for this ultra-aged bottling, nor any suggested selling price.
