Just in time for the Olympics, Buffalo Trace has opened a pop-up retail store in Paris, offering bourbon fans the opportunity to snag whiskeys from the distillery, attend private tastings of the ultra-luxe, new Weller Millennium, and buy exclusive Paris-themed merchandise.
Open from July 19 through to August 26, the experience can be found at 36 Rue Etienne Marcel in Paris’ 2nd arrondissement (Les Halles District).
Visitors can purchase various whiskeys from the distillery, including Buffalo Trace, Weller 12, Eagle Rare and Sazerac Rye.
Bourbon fans have the opportunity to attend private tastings of the ultra-luxe, new Weller Millennium, as well as buy exclusive Paris-themed merchandise…
There’s also the opportunity to experience a special, exclusive whiskey sampling, highlighting some of the Distillery’s rarest and most coveted Weller Bourbon expressions.
Complimentary, private samplings for up to four guests will be available to a select number of fans at 12 Gold, a bespoke, invite-only Weller-themed lounge created especially for the experience.
The tastings will feature a variety of Weller expressions, including some of the first pours in Europe of the newly released, ultra-rare Weller Millennium.
Says Ed Bell, Homeplace Director, Buffalo Trace Distillery, “While everyone is welcome to visit Buffalo Trace Distillery in the United States, we want to make it easier for Paris residents and visitors to learn, explore, try, and fall in love with our whiskeys. We know there will be an increase in foot traffic to the city in July and August, and our prime location will give visitors an excuse to go beyond sporting and cultural events while in town.”

In order to be eligible to secure a once-in-a-lifetime space at 12 Gold, fans must follow @buffalotracedistillery_UK_EU on Instagram, Like the grid post highlighting the 12 Gold tasting experience and tag at least one person they would take with them to the tasting.
