When it comes to blending classic charm with impeccable timekeeping, few do it better than Laco, the Pforzheim-based watch manufacturer.
Known for its iconic pilot watches, Laco has set sail on a new horological journey with the reintroduction of its Cuxhaven and Bremerhaven timepieces, inspired by historical navy pocket watches.
These watches, which had taken a brief hiatus from Laco’s collection, are now back, and they’ve returned in style. The focus of the relaunch is not just on the familiar 42.5 mm models but also on two new variants sporting a slightly reduced case diameter of 39 mm.
These new additions bring a refreshing versatility to the collection, catering to those who prefer a more compact wrist presence, without sacrificing that vintage allure.

The Cuxhaven and Bremerhaven are a tribute to maritime history and traditional watchmaking. Their dials, available in black for the Bremerhaven and glossy white for the Cuxhaven, exude elegance.
The hands, numerals, and indices are coated with Superluminova C3, ensuring optimal readability even in the darkest depths of night. The hour and minute hands sport a unique touch: they are painted black on the Bremerhaven and thermally blued on the lighter Cuxhaven.
A small seconds window at 6 o’clock is reminiscent of the original models. The railroad-style minute track completes the vintage look.
Behind these dials lies precision machinery. The larger 42.5mm models boast the tried-and-true hand-wound ETA Unitas 6498.1 movement, while the smaller 39mm watches are powered by the precise hand-wound Sellita SW261 movement from Switzerland.
The watches feature robust sapphire crystals, protecting the dials, and a large see-through back made of sapphire crystal.
The Cuxhaven embraces a lighter aesthetic with a beige calfskin leather strap. As you wear it, expect the strap to develop a unique patina, adding a touch of vintage character to your wrist. On the other hand, the Bremerhaven opts for a smooth black leather strap, perfectly matching the timeless allure of its black dial.
We love that the Cuxhaven and Bremerhaven seamlessly blend history, precision, and style, reflecting maritime culture and traditional Laco craftsmanship.
If you’re looking to upgrade your watch game and make a fresh style statement, these new Laco timepieces may well float your boat.
The 39 mm versions of the Cuxhaven and Bremerhaven sell for €1,290, and will be available from November. If you prefer the larger, 42.5 mm models, you can acquire one for €1,690 in October.
