Ted Lasso is heading back on the pitch with its third season this spring, streaming exclusively on AppleTV+ – and it’s just the tip of a new slate of new and returning original series, premiering globally on the service through spring 2023.
Ted Lasso – Premiere date March 15, 2023
“I do love a locker room. It smells like potential.”
Just like a top-notch striker, Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis) has scored back-to-back Emmy wins for Outstanding Comedy Series in its first and second seasons. Its third outing is rumoured to be its last.
For the few that haven’t seen it: Ted is an American football coach hired to manage British soccer team AFC Richmond, despite having no experience of the beautiful game. Still, he makes up for his lack of knowledge with a never-say-die attitude and a love for home-baked biscuits.
Joining Sudeikis on the squad for S3 are Hannah Waddingham, Brendan Hunt, Jeremy Swift, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Phil Dunster, Nick Mohammed and Sarah Niles.
Ted Lasso may be AppleTV+’s best loved show, but the streamer has revealed plenty more treats planned for 2023.
