The worlds of theatre, gastronomy and robotics are colliding at an all new immersive dining experience being staged at the Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza – and for the first time, this novel fine dining experience features a ‘Cyber-Chef’ able to interact with guests.
Six seasons in, chef Paco Roncero, who has two Michelin stars, and creative director Eduardo Gonzales of Vega Factory, have returned to Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza, in Playa d’en Bossa, to present Sublimotion Limited Edition, a theatrical fine-dining experience that runs until September 30.
Building on previous iterations of the dining show, this new edition ‘represents a further step in Sublimotion’s own innovative staging, which continues to surprise its guests beyond their expectations,’ say organisers.
The gestures of Chef Paco Roncero have been copied to his robotic counterpart. Masterchef meets terminator?
Diners will find themselves in a gastronomic video game, (‘an experience that crosses the bridge between the real and virtual worlds’), with said Cyber-Chef cooking a ‘sophisticated snack.’ Masterchef meets Terminator?
The gestures of Chef Paco Roncero have apparently been copied to his robotic counterpart, for the preparation of the snack.
The Sublimotion team features specialists in food, technology, music, illusion, design, arts and engineering. ‘For the first time in history, a line is crossed that allows Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza to predict how the dining experiences of the future will evolve!’ we’re told. If that’s the case, count us in.
The Limited Edition experience is operating at reduced capacity for the duration of its run, with increased safety measures in place.
