Panasonic is refreshing its kitchen appliance range with an enticing new generation of space-saving air fryer microwaves, bread makers, and ice cream machines. Blending innovative engineering with a clear eye on how people actually cook, bake and eat at home, these new kitchen gadgets are designed to simplify life, rather than clutter the worktop – and they’re packed with clever tech.
Celebrating 60 years of microwave innovation, the brand’s updated Slimline range for 2026 integrates air fryer functionality across five models, combining microwave, grill, convection oven and air frying into a single compact unit.
It’s a clever response to changing kitchen habits.
The Luxe Review had an exclusive look at the new appliances during a European product preview in Munich, where the focus was as much on experience as engineering. Panasonic’s incoming dual-function bread and ice cream maker, which produced freshly made matcha-flavoured ice cream on site, was a particular highlight!

Compact appliances, serious flexibility
At the top of Panasonic’s’s 2026 microwave range sits the 34-litre NN-CD88, a premium combination model with air frying, convection cooking, grilling and microwave functionality. With a 36cm turntable, Genius Sensor Cook and One-Push Reheating, it’s for households that want speed without sacrificing consistency.
Panasonic is also extending air fryer technology across its Slimline 27-litre range, meaning every slimline model now includes air frying as standard.
The technical delivery is smart. A high-powered fan system delivers all-round heat circulation, replicating the airflow of a dedicated air fryer, while Panasonic’s Inverter Tech maintains consistent power output for more even cooking and defrosting.
In real terms, this means faster cooking times, better textures and lower energy use, said to be up to 70 per cent faster with 50 per cent energy savings, when combining microwave with convection, grill or air fry modes.
With up to 1000W microwave power, 1300W quartz grilling, 220°C convection cooking and dedicated air fryer temperatures, the new models can handle everything from air-fried fish and frozen chips to baking and reheating leftovers. The slimline footprint keeps worktops clear, while dedicated baskets allow up to 800g of frozen chips to be cooked in one go.
Models launching in April 2026 include the NN-CD58RS with full stainless steel finish, NN-CT57RM with silver exterior and touch controls, NN-CT56RB in regulation black and NN-CT55RW / NN-CT54RW in clean white. Prices are TBA.
Bread and ice cream making in Munich
Alongside the new microwaves, Panasonic is challenging expectations with a novel combi Bread & Ice Cream Maker.
Available in Black with Rose Gold accents (SD-PMC100N) and Black (SD-PMC101K), this new compact bread maker builds on Panasonic’s long heritage in home baking, offering 34 automatic programmes including 12 dessert modes. These machines go well beyond bread, handling dough, jam, cakes, panettone, mochi, sorbet, frozen yoghurt and even ice cream.
Yes, you read that right: this is a bread maker that can also produce ice cream. Simply pre-freeze the ice cream attachment for at least eight hours, then decide on flavours and ingredients when you’re ready to serve.
If a kitchen appliance can make fresh matcha ice cream at a trade show in Munich and still feel like something you’d actually want to use on a weekday evening at home, it’s probably doing something right.
Bread & Ice cream making models are expected to launch September 2026.
