Philips is celebrating a century of sound with the launch of a Retro-inspired home audio range. The five-product line-up will arrive in October and forms the first stage of a three-year campaign, dubbed Century, honouring the brand’s contribution to music and audio tech.
Future launches are expected to include a revival of the brightly coloured Moving Sound, youth-orientated personal audio range, and the return of its premium Fidelio line.
The Retro Collection is designed to recall Philips’ milestones in vinyl, radio and headphones, while incorporating contemporary advances, courtesy of Bluetooth 5.4, app integration, and streaming capabilities, not to mention a preference for sustainable materials.
Each product is named after a music icon, underlining their place in a family of celebratory designs. At the unveiling in Eindhoven, Philips’ historic home, the company positioned the range as both a nod to the past and a practical option for today’s design-savvy listeners.

The flagship Philips V9000 Tina is billed as the world’s most powerful all-in-one integrated turntable system, offering a healthy 120W to a 2.1 speaker configuration setup. The belt-driven deck features an aluminium diecast platter, adjustable tonearm and Audio Technica cartridge.
Connectivity includes DAB+/FM, USB audio, Bluetooth 5.4 with Auracast, RCA phono input, and app-based control. Priced at £399.99 (€449.99), it feels substantial and modern, without losing its period charm.
Listening in Eindhoven, its sound was expansive and room-filling. A limited walnut chassis edition, echoing the extravagant build of mid-century music furniture, was also teased (pricing on that variation is TBC).
Is this Tina Simply the Best? It could well be.
At the other end of the scale, there’s the Philips V3000 Stevie, a budget-priced vinyl playback system with a more modest 12W power output. Priced at just £129.99 (€149.99) it’s a straightforward introduction to vinyl.
The three-speed belt-drive deck also has Bluetooth 5.4, allowing owners to pair with Bluetooth speakers or headphones. The Stevie looks to be an easy way to enjoy records for the first time, or return to them after years away.
Winning kudos for its cute 1950’s design, the Philips V2000 Janet (£69.99 / €79.99) is a portable DAB+/FM radio, complete with a colour display, 15-hour battery life and Bluetooth streaming support.
Your bedside table might just have found a new radio.
For headphone buyers, Philips is also reintroducing two familiar options. The SHP9500CY Freddie (£99.99 / €99.99) is an open-back, wired design with large 50mm drivers and a steel frame, offering a spacious soundstage and comfort, for long sessions at home.
Meanwhile, the Philips H2000 Ringo (£29.99 / €29.99) updates the classic lightweight eighties style on-ear headphone with Bluetooth wireless, 26-hour battery life, and multipoint pairing.
The Philips Retro Collection launches October 2025.
