Showbiz glitterati were out in force last night for a preview theatrical screening of the newly restored Beatles documentary Let It be. Available for the first time in 50 years, the film is now available to stream on Disney+.
Following the presentation at the Curzon Mayfair, Edith Bowman hosted an on stage in-conversation with Jonathan Clyde, Apple Corps producer of Peter Jackson’s documentary series The Beatles: Get Back and journalist and author John Harris.

Director Michael Lindsay-Hogg’s film about The Beatles, first released in May 1970 just weeks after The Beatles’ breakup, can now be seen in a fresh light, both through its meticulous restoration, and in the context with Peter Jackson’s Emmy Award-winning docuseries, The Beatles: Get Back (also available on Disney+).
Let It Be contains footage not featured in the Get Back docuseries, and brings viewers into the studio as The Beatles, joined by Billy Preston, write, and record what was to become the legendary Let It Be album.
