Technology fashionista Honor has launched the Honor 90 smartphone, likely to win favour with photographers and content creators alike. The new mobile has a triple camera system with a 200MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide and macro camera with a wide 112° field of view, 50MP Front Camera, and a 2MP Depth Camera to gauge distance.
The Luxe Review has been putting an early sample of the Honor 90 through its paces and we’ve been impressed with its build quality, speed and display. Key early takeaways are improved low light performance, and punchy HDR.
The Honor 90 also boasts a new Portrait mode, with 2X zoom to better highlight the subject in frame. Honor has also tweaked performance to better capture skin tones, and facial features; an upgraded bokeh effect naturally blends subject and background.

The smartphone features a 6.7-inch 2664×1200 resolution Quad-Curved Floating Display, that claims 100 per cent DCI-P3 colour gamut. It’s compatible with HDR10+, as used by Prime Video, and claims an HDR peak brightness is rated at 1600 nits. The large 5000mAh battery can provide around 19 hours of continuous local video streaming.
The design is said to be inspired by haute couture and luxury jewellery, and it certainly looks premium. Just 7.8mm thin and weighing 183g, it has smooth, rounded edges.
